GDPR & Your Data Rights

Rights the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you are set out below, along with the way we deal with requests to exercise them. This page sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and why.

Which lawful bases we depend on

• Contract — so we can provision the services you order, keep them running, and collect payment.
• Legal obligation — so billing and tax records stay on file, and lawful requests get an answer.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the platform secure, to stop fraud and abuse, and to make the service better, weighed always against your rights.
• Consent — covering optional marketing and cookies that are not essential; you may withdraw it whenever you wish.

Your rights

• Access — ask for a copy of whatever personal data we keep about you.
• Rectification — have records that are wrong or incomplete corrected.
• Erasure — tell us to erase your data once no lawful ground for keeping it remains on our side.
• Restriction — request a freeze on processing while a concern is being worked out.
• Portability — take back what you supplied to us, in a widely used machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing we base on legitimate interests, and object to direct marketing whenever you choose.
• Withdraw consent — pull your consent back where we depend on it; earlier processing still stands.

How to make a request

Email info@ifasthosting.com with "Data request" as the subject, naming the right you wish to exercise. Checking who you are may be necessary first. Our answer comes inside one month; where a request proves complex we can take up to two further months, and we will let you know when that happens. Nothing is charged for this, unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

International transfers

Personal data that moves outside the UK or the EEA, to a sub-processor for instance, travels either under an adequacy decision or under standard contractual clauses that carry appropriate safeguards in support. Our Data Processing page lists the processors we use.

Complaints

Unhappy with the way we have handled your data? Come to us first, please, and give us the chance to put it right. Complaining to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) remains your right too, as does complaining to your local supervisory authority.
